Which shafts are best for me?
The shaft is the most important component of
the golf club. Therefore, finding the right shaft is key. Ranger Golf uses ONLY
frequency-matched TrueTemper, Grafalloy, Aldila and Apache Graphite shafts. These
are the market leaders as golf professionals around the world can attest.
The shafts we use are exactly the same as those used on the PGA
Tour. Ranger Golf lets you pick EXACTLY the shaft that is right for your game. Dont
settle for an off-name brand, or buy custom clubs assembled with a choice of
"Steel" or "Graphite" just because its cheaper.
All our shafts have different properties, which help you achieve
different goals with your shots. To really custom fit your clubs, you should pick out the
qualities of a shaft that you think would best help your shots on the course, whether you
need more distance or more control, or whether you like hitting the ball higher or lower.
These are determined by flexibility and flexpoint.
We proudly present two Famous Fedoskino Masters: Yuri Leonidovich Dubovikov.
Flexibility is how much the shaft is able to bend during your swing.
More flexibility can add more distance by allowing the club to have more "whip",
but too much flexibility will cause you to lose control of your shot. When we ask for your
average 5-iron and Driver distance, this will help us to determine the correct shaft
flexibility for you. Be honest! The correct flex makes a big difference to your
performance.
Flexpoint is the point on the shaft where the most bending actually
occurs. The Dynalite, Ranger Golf Signature shaft, Aldila VX shafts have a lower
flexpoint, allowing you to get the ball in the air quicker. This is better suited to the
beginner golfer and the intermediate golfer who needs more height on his shots.
The TT Lite steel shafts, UST ProForce 65, UST ProForce 55, UST
ProForce ATR and True Temper Bi-MATRX all have mid flexpoints, producing a medium ball
flight. These are great all-purpose shafts that are great for all levels of players. The
lightweight shafts allow the player to get a bit more swing speed to increase distance.
The Dynamic Gold steel, Grafalloy ProLite and UST ProForce 75
graphite shafts have a higher flexpoint, producing a lower, more controlled ball flight.
These shafts are ideal for the intermediate and advanced golfer, where accuracy and
control are key.
If you prefer a softer feeling shot or if you have joint or tendon
problems, you should consider using a graphite shaft or vibration-dampening device like
the TT Lite XL Sensicore. This helps reduce the discomfort produced by impact with the
ball.
For overlength woods, the Aldila Longwood 50/50 is 50 inches long
and weighs only 50 grams, allowing the club to be made much longer and still keepa
reasonable swingweight.
